The Dow Jones Industrial Average was down 13 points, or pretty much flat. The Nasdaq Composite was up 0.2%.The S&P 500 eked out a gain on Monday and above its intraday midpoint, while a majority of stocks in the index also closed higher, writes Frank Cappelleri, founder of technical analysis firm CappThesis. But Cappelleri adds that such stats are barely true, since the index spent the last minutes of the day “in fade-mode.”
