Tata Group Chairman N Chandrasekaran announced ₹1 crore compensation for each family who lost a loved one in Thursday’s Air India plane crash near Ahmedabad. The Group will also cover medical expenses of the injured and help rebuild the B J Medical College hostel hit in the crash. Chandrasekaran expressed deep sorrow over the tragedy.
