Following the tragic crash of Air India flight AI 171 from Ahmedabad to London Gatwick, which resulted in the loss of 241 lives, Air India and Air India Express will discontinue using flight number '171'. As a mark of respect, the Ahmedabad-London Gatwick flight will now operate as 'AI 159' from June 17.
