My mom sells vintage jewelry also and she's been doing it for many years. She started talking to the people at the church sales. At the end of the day they would call her and make her a deal for all the jewelry they had left. It also works for yard sales or community sales. People will give you an entire box of something for $10 at the end of the day that they would have never even considered earlier cuz they don't want to take it home with them. I can't tell you how many times she would go and pick up a shoe box of jewelry that they offered her for $20 after the sale was over and she'd pull like a gold chain out of it or a silver ring and sell it for the price of the whole box! There was always one or two fine pieces and then the rest was just costume but as you know, that stuff sells too. She could easily make a couple hundred dollars off a shoe box of jewelry after these sales.
