Kajol and Shah Rukh Khan are undoubtedly one of Bollywood’s most beloved on-screen jodis and their blockbuster film Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge (DDLJ) continues to remain a cultural touchstone decades after its release. SRK and Kajol’s magic isn’t limited to just one film, they have also delivered hits like Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, My Name Is Khan, and Dilwale, all of which struck a chord with audiences and performed well at the box office. While fans have always admired their electric on-screen chemistry, Kajol recently opened up about the real bond that she shares with Shah Rukh off-screen.In a conversation with Instant Bollywood, she said, “We’ve done too many movies together at different phases of our lives. We got married, we had our kids, we led our separate lives. We’ve been friends for a very long time. We’ve seen each other grow. It is a lifetime of working with each other, and great friends are all about being with you throughout it all.”What truly stands out for Kajol is Shah Rukh Khan’s work ethic and presence on set. She shared, “I admire that man so much. I’ll just say that I’ve never seen a man being so present on set. He knows everybody’s lines. He’s not living in his own head. He is present. He will make sure he is committed to what he is doing, 100%.”ALSO READ | Nupur Sanon’s brand faces backlash over overpriced clothing: ‘The ridiculous price points…’But for fans hoping for a sequel to Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge, Kajol has a firm stance—it’s a no. “They should never make DDLJ 2,” she said, adding, “They should leave it at Simran climbing the train. Nobody should care what happened post that—kisne kisko maara hai, kitne bachche hue (who fought who, how many children they had). We don’t discuss marriage after that. It’s done and dusted. Nobody wants to know what happened to Raj and Simran after the train scene.” For Kajol, the story ended perfectly—and trying to continue it would only take away from its magic. In the same interview, Kajol also spoke fondly of another close friend from the film industry, Karan Johar. “It’s very difficult to maintain relationships in today’s date, and Karan Johar is friends with a lot of people. I really admire that about him. It’s not easy,” said Kajol.Click here to follow Screen Digital on YouTube and stay updated with the latest from the world of cinema.© IE Online Media Services Pvt Ltd
