As a result, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport, Ahmedabad, is currently not operational. All flight operations are temporarily suspended until further notice. Passengers are advised to check with their respective airlines for the latest updates before proceeding to the airport. We request your cooperation and patience as authorities manage this evolving situation.”By 4.56 pm, even as bodies of the victims of the crash, both from the aircraft and the ground, were still arriving at Ahmedabad Civil Hospital, the airport issued another statement, which read, “Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport, Ahmedabad, is now operational with limited flights. Passengers are requested to connect with the airlines for updated information. Please follow our social media channels for updates.”By 5.51 pm, about four-and-a-half hours into the fatal crash, the third and last statement by the airport confirmed that it was fully operationalised.
