During the reporting period, over 15,400 individuals returned to Afghanistan through Torkham and Spin Boldak, the main two border crossings with Pakistan, of which 74% were undocumented individuals and Afghan Citizen Card (ACC) holders and 26% POR card holders and other returns. While this marks another decrease of 12% compared to the previous week, returns remained at a level significantly higher than before the recent increase since the beginning of April. The number of over 1,000 (8%) of undocumented individuals and ACC holders reported as deportations also marks another decrease compared to the previous week. The number of documented returns (including facilitated voluntary repatriations, POR card holders and other returns) saw an increase of 11% compared to the previous week. The slight majority (56%) of individuals during the reporting period returned through Spin Boldak border crossing in Kandahar province.
