Former Democrat Mayor Tiffany Henyard of Dolton, Illinois, has been embroiled in scandals for several months, and a new report indicates she has now been served with eviction papers. (@NewsNation / X screen shot)After a tenure mired in controversy, former Dalton, Illinois, Mayor Tiffany Henyward lost her bid for re-election when she suffered a landslide loss in the Democratic primary.Her opponent, Village Trustee Jason House, won almost 88% of the votes, while Henyard could barely manage 12%.The Gateway Pundit has reported extensively on allegations and investigations into Henyard dubbed “the worst mayor in America.”Although no longer in office, the chaos that circled around her tenure continues to swirl around her. Henyard has now been ordered to appear for a contempt hearing after failing to turn over public records from her time in office.Per WGN: A Cook County judge previously held Henyard in contempt of court for failing to turn over records from her tenure as required by state transparency laws. Henyard reportedly told the judge Friday she was the “face” of the village but didn’t handle record-keeping.The judge ordered Henyard to appear in person on Friday, June 6.The Edgar County Watchdogs, Inc. sued the Village of Dolton for failing to produce credit card and other records after Henyard’s administration ignored Freedom of Information Act requests in January of 2024.“The massive public exposure given to the Defendant that has brought Illinois corruption into the national public spotlight needs to be addressed immediately to save further harm to the state’s reputation,” read the Edgar County Watchdog’s complaint.Read the Court’s Order here.In addition, WGN-TV also sued Henyard’s administration for failing to comply with state transparency laws.The village complied with WGN after Henyard lost her re-election bid and released additional records.Henyard has been under FBI investigation for abusing her power after she shut down businesses that didn’t donate to her campaign.Her failed leadership was so concerning that local residents hired failed former Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot to investigate.When Lightfoot presented the findings, there were audible gasps at the extent of the accusations of reckless spending, including spending $40,000 at Amazon in one day.The post Former Dalton Mayor Tiffany Henyward Still Under Fire, Ordered to Court for Contempt Hearing appeared first on The Gateway Pundit.
