Just 11 minutes ago, a 4.0-magnitude earthquake struck near Stanley, Custer County, Idaho, USA. The tremor was recorded in the afternoon on Wednesday, June 4th, 2025, at 4:58 pm local time, at a shallow depth of 8.6 miles below the surface.The event was filed by the United States Geological Survey, the first seismological agency to report it.Our monitoring service identified a second report from The Incorporated Research Institutions for Seismology (IRIS) which listed the quake at magnitude 4.0 as well. A third agency, the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC), reported the same quake at magnitude 4.0.Based on the preliminary seismic data, the quake should not have caused any significant damage, but was probably felt by many people as light vibration in the area of the epicenter.
