Is this dumb? How to market myself

Wait 5 sec.

Hey there, So I'm fairly new to freelancing (except for a short stint I did back in 2018) and have a question about how I should be presenting myself, given my experience. So I went from freelance copywriting and then marketing full-time to eventually working in education mostly as an ELA teacher. I've got a portfolio, and I'm currently labeling myself as a "copywriter and curriculum writer" and have been applying to curriculum/instructional design and copywriting jobs (especially in edtech or adjacent industries) along with everything else under the sun. So my question is: Am I stretching myself too thin across two different industries? Do I need to choose one or the other (copywriting vs instructional design)? Or am I doing alright and can continue labelling myself in this way? Would love to hear from other people from a similar background! submitted by /u/PowerfulKoala69 [link] [comments]
