Tottenham are worried Mohammed Kudus deal will get hijacked, and with good reason

Tottenham Hotspur are growing increasingly concerned about missing out on a deal for Mohammed Kudus, with the Lilywhites fearful their London rivals are about to make a move for the West Ham Star.Tottenham have already had two offers rejected for Kudus, the largest of which is £50m plus £5m in add-ons.The Hammers have allegedly told the North London club to pay £65m for the winger, making it clear to their rivals that they will not accept any figure that does not start in a six.It was reported by The Daily Mail a couple of days ago that Chelsea are prepared to challenge Spurs for Kudus but the Blues are not able to afford a straight cash deal. This was because they have very little wiggle room in PSR after spending £100m collectively on Joao Pedro and Jamie Gittens, but that may soon be about to change.Photo by Justin Setterfield/Getty ImagesTottenham are worried Chelsea will raise cash for Mohammed Kudus dealJournalist Dean Jones has now revealed that there is growing concern at Hotspur Way that the Blues could re-enter the race to sign the 24-year-old.The Blues are expected to cash in on some of their attackers, including Noni Madueke and Christopher Nkunku, which may help them afford a deal for the West Ham star.Jones said on the Ranks FC Ultras Patreon page: “Tottenham Hotspur are pushing to move talks forward for Mohammed Kudus this week, with growing concern inside the club that Chelsea could make another move for the West Ham attacker.“There is an expectation that Chelsea will make space in their squad, with Noni Madueke available for transfer and Christopher Nkunku also being lined up for a quick exit. Nicolas Jackson may follow if the right offer arrives.“Spurs believe two attacking departures at Chelsea could open the door for them to pursue Kudus again. They remain wary, knowing contact between Chelsea and West Ham last month has not been fully closed off.”Losing on Kudus will be a terrible look for TottenhamSpurs have already been beaten by Man United to the signing of Bryan Mbeumo, who is expected to complete a move to Old Trafford. It has emerged over recent days that Arsenal are more likely to pursue Eberechi Eze than Tottenham, who have withdrawn from the race for the Crystal Palace star.If Spurs’ pursuit of Kudus is hijacked by Chelsea, there would be an almighty meltdown from Tottenham fans on social media, and one cannot blame them, given how the club have dragged their feet so far this summer.READ MORE: Atletico Madrid ready monster offer to meet Tottenham’s Cristian Romero price tagThe post Tottenham are worried Mohammed Kudus deal will get hijacked, and with good reason appeared first on Spurs Web.
