Breaking: Disney Announces Parade Route and Times for Magic Kingdom’s Starlight Parade

In one month, Disney’s Magic Kingdom will debut its first nighttime parade in over a decade as the Disney Starlight Parade will make its debut on July 20. Today, Disney World announced more details about the new parade.Credit: DisneyWhen the Starlight Parade debuts next month, it will include two showtimes at 9 and 11 p.m. Magic Kingdom’s Happily Ever After will run between the parades at 10 p.m.Starlight will take a different route, starting at Main Street, U.S.A., and ending at Frontierland, unlike other parades at Magic Kingdom. Disney created this parade route to help expedite guests leaving the park after the parade is finished.Disney Starlight was first announced last August at the D23 Expo. Disney Starlight: Dream the Night Away will feature parade floats with the Disney Princess, Coco, Encanto, Frozen, Moana, or the released concept art suggests. Since then, Disney has also released some of the music that will be included in the parade.The addition of a new parade ending in Frontierland could only remind guests of the changes that will occur in the land just weeks before the parade debuts. On July 7, Disney will close Rivers of America and Tom Sawyer Island to make way for the new Cars Land.Earlier this week, Disney announced the details of the new Cars Land and Villains Land. While Disney did include new information, it was light on specifics about what would be coming in the new lands that would replace the beloved areas.Credit: DisneyThe parade route also highlights the current refurbishment of Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, which is closed for all of 2025.
