A helicopter crash near Kedarnath resulted in seven fatalities. However, Pooja and Pravin Mahajan survived due to their generosity. They allowed a sick teenager and her grandmother to board the helicopter first. The Jaiswal family, who were travelling with the Mahajans, were among those killed. The Jaiswal's son, Vivaan, was not with them and survived.
