Equity Bank Uganda has reinforced its commitment to faith-led community development by donating UGX 50 million to support a major evangelical crusade organized by Pastor Robert Kayanja of Miracle Centre Ministries.The three-day crusade, which will feature world-renowned evangelist Benny Hinn, is expected to draw thousands of faithful from across Uganda and the region. The financial support was officially handed over this afternoon by Catherine Psomgen, Equity Bank Uganda’s Director for Public Sector and Social Investments.The partnership between Equity Bank and Pastor Kayanja’s ministries is grounded in a shared vision of transforming lives and restoring dignity to vulnerable communities. The support not only empowers the spiritual growth of communities but also complements ongoing development work.Since 2023, the two institutions have collaborated on transformational agricultural projects in Karamoja, a region long affected by poverty, food insecurity, and climate-related challenges. The initiative aims to build sustainable livelihoods and promote food resilience in one of Uganda’s most underserved areas.Equity Bank’s engagement falls under its broader Africa Recovery and Resilience Plan, which dedicates 30% of its total lending to agriculture.
