Hours after ceasefire went into effect, Iran launches ballistic missile at Israel, despite pleas from President Trump not to violate the truce.By World Israel News StaffIran violated an hours-old truce with Israel Tuesday morning, launching a ballistic missile at the Jewish state, following a series of barrages earlier in the morning.Israel’s military detected a single missile launch from Iran towards Israeli territory just before 10:30 a.m. local time, nearly three and a half hours after a ceasefire brokered by the U.S. went into effect.The missile was launched towards northern Israel, prompting the IDF’s Home Front Command to order residents to seek shelter.According to preliminary reports, the missile was successfully intercepted, with no casualties.Magen David Adom (MDA) and United Hatzalah emergency teams have been dispatched to search for possible shrapnel and missile debris.“So far, United Hatzalah Dispatch has not received any reports of physical casualties,” a United Hatzalah spokesperson said.Just hours earlier, ahead of the 7:00 a.m. Israel time deadline, Iran launched five missile barrages towards Israel.One missile fired during the volleys struck an apartment building in the southern Israeli city of Beersheba, destroyed a reinforced safe room and damaging a second.Four people were killed in the attack, with 20 more injured.A sixth barrage was fired minutes after the ceasefire went into effect.Nevertheless, the Prime Minister’s Office announced afterwards that Israel had accepted the truce brokered by the Trump administration.Taking to his Truth Social account, Trump urged both sides to adhere to the ceasefire shortly after it began.“THE CEASEFIRE IS NOW IN EFFECT.
