The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a thunderstorm alert for 12 districts in Telangana for Tuesday (June 24, 2025).According to the latest IMD bulletin, thunderstorm accompanied with lightning is likely to occur at isolated locations in Adilabad, Kumuram Bheem Asifabad, Mancherial, Nirmal, Nizamabad, Jayashankar Bhupalpally, Mulugu, Bhadradri Kothagudem, Rangareddy, Medchal Malkajgiri, Hyderabad, and Nagarkurnool districts. In addition to this, the IMD has also forecast strong surface winds at isolated places across all 33 districts of the State.In Hyderabad and its surrounding areas, for the next 24 hours, the IMD has predicted generally cloudy skies would cover the region. “Light to moderate rain or thundershowers, accompanied by gusty winds, are very likely to occur. Hazy conditions are expected during the early morning hours. The maximum and minimum temperatures in the city are likely to be around 33°C and 23°C respectively,” as per the forecast.Published - June 23, 2025 03:48 pm IST
