(Photo/AP)US President Donald Trump on Tuesday said that Israel has agreed for a 60-day ceasefire in Gaza on “necessary conditions” and warned militant group Hamas to accept the deal before it worsens. Trump announced the development as he prepares to meet Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for talks at the White House on Monday.According to two officials of the Trump administration, Hamas is yet to agree to the deal. Informing about the ceasefire agreement, Trump in a Truth Social post said that the Qataris and Egyptians would deliver it.“My Representatives had a long and productive meeting with the Israelis today on Gaza,” Trump wrote in the post.He added “Israel has agreed to the necessary conditions to finalize the 60 Day CEASEFIRE, during which time we will work with all parties to end the War. The Qataris and Egyptians, who have worked very hard to help bring peace, will deliver this final proposal.”Urging Hamas to accept the deal as it’ll worsen if it doesn’t, Trump said “I hope, for the good of the Middle East, that Hamas takes this Deal, because it will not get better — IT WILL ONLY GET WORSE. It continued until March after which Israel started targeting Gaza again alleging ceasefire violations being carried out by Hamas. Since then, there has been a pause on the delivery of aid to Palestinians.Israel’s Strategic Affairs Minister Ron Dermer is in Washington for talks with senior officials of the Trump administration regarding the Gaza ceasefire, Iran and other matters.
