This will be Prime Minister’s first-ever bilateral visit to Ghana (Photo/ANI)Prime Minister Narendra Modi will embark on a five-nation tour beginning Wednesday to participate in the BRICS Summit in Brazil and expand India’s ties with several key nations of the Global South.Besides Brazil, Modi will visit Ghana, Trinidad and Tobago, Argentina, Brazil, and Namibia during the eight-day trip, according to the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA).In the first leg of the visit, Modi will undertake a visit to Ghana from July 2 to 3.This will be the PM’s first ever bilateral visit to Ghana and the first prime ministerial visit from India to Ghana in three decades.During the visit, Modi will hold talks with the president of Ghana to review the strong bilateral partnership and discuss further avenues to enhance it through economic, energy, and defence collaboration, the MEA said.From Ghana, Modi will travel to Trinidad and Tobago on a two-day visit from July 3 to 4. According to a statement from AAP, Kejriwal will be in Ahmedabad from July 1 to 3 to attend organisational meetings and galvanise support for the party’s newly launched ‘Gujarat Jodo’ membership campaign, which begins in Ahmedabad on July 2 and will be expanded statewide.Story continues below this ad“I am going to Gujarat today to meet the workers after the victory in Visavadar,” Kejriwal posted on X before leaving for Ahmedabad.The campaign marks a renewed push by the party to establish a deeper grassroots presence in Gujarat, where the BJP has maintained a dominant political hold for over two decades.L-G Manoj Sinha to flag off Amarnath YatraLieutenant Governor (LG) Manoj Sinha will flag off the first batch of Amarnath Yatra pilgrims for the twin base camps in Kashmir from here amid tight security on Wednesday.The 38-day pilgrimage to the 3,880-metre-high shrine will commence on July 3 from the Valley via the twin tracks — the traditional 48-kilometre Nunwan-Pahalgam route in Anantnag district and the shorter (14 kilometres) but steeper Baltal route in Ganderbal district.
