Germany’s Diehl Defence and Spanish engineering firm Sener have signed a memorandum of understanding to deepen their collaboration on several emerging defense technologies, including hypersonic missiles, remote carriers, and unmanned ground vehicles. The agreement outlines plans to jointly develop technologies linked to the Future Combat Air System (FCAS), a European next-generation air combat program led by France, Germany, and Spain.Diehl and Sener aim to contribute to subsystems such as guided missiles and unmanned platforms that are expected to play a critical role in FCAS architecture. The companies have a long-standing working relationship dating back over two decades. Defence General Director at Sener Rafael Orbe called the collaboration “a step forward in our long history of partnership and common trust, opening new opportunities of collaboration that will strengthen the relationship between Diehl Defence and Sener.”Sener has been a key industrial partner in the IRIS-T missile program, producing aerodynamic components and control systems for both the air-to-air and ground-launched variants of the missile. The IRIS-T system, led by Diehl Defence, is widely used among NATO and allied air forces as a short-range air defense solution. The post Diehl and Sener Team Up on Hypersonics, UGVs, Remote Carriers appeared first on The Defense Post.
