EPCOT has long been known as the more “grown-up” Disney park—with thrilling attractions like Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, culinary adventures in the World Showcase, and festivals that bring in foodies and Disney fans from all over the world. But over the last few years, Disney has quietly transformed EPCOT into a much more family-friendly park, making sure there’s plenty for kids to enjoy too.Credit: Greg Goebel, FlickrYou’ve got the Frozen Ever After ride in the Norway Pavilion, Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure in France, a chance to meet Anna and Elsa, and of course, Journey into Imagination with Figment in addition to attractions like Living with the Land, The Seas with Nemo & Friends, and Spaceship Earth. But one of the most underrated and beloved activities for kids (and let’s be honest—plenty of adults too) is the scavenger hunt offered during each EPCOT festival. These scavenger hunts are colorful, interactive map-based games that send guests on a mission to spot hidden characters around the park. From Spike the Bee during Flower & Garden to Remy during Food & Wine, it’s a simple and fun way to keep kids engaged while parents explore everything EPCOT has to offer. The best part? Every completed map comes with a cute little prize. But as of now, that magical experience is about to get a little more expensive.Price Increase Hits Remy’s Ratatouille Hide & SqueakFor the first time in years, Disney is raising the price of one of these EPCOT scavenger hunts. According to reports, beginning with the 2025 EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival, Remy’s Ratatouille Hide & Squeak will jump from $9.99 to $11.99 plus tax. That’s a $2 increase per map, which can add up quickly if you’re buying one for multiple kids—or even just one kid who wants to do it every visit.Credit: Krysten Swensen, Inside the MagicThe way the game works hasn’t changed. You’ll still pick up a scavenger hunt map and stickers at locations like Disney Traders, Creations Shop, or one of the festival merchandise booths. Then, you and your little ones can search around World Showcase and Global Marketplaces for Remy-themed statues. Each time you find one, you add a sticker to your map. And yes, you still get a prize even if you don’t find every single one.But with this new price point, some families may pause before saying yes. While it’s still cheaper than many other theme park extras, the bump is another reminder of how costs keep rising at Walt Disney World—often in small but noticeable ways.Worth It for the Experience?Disney hasn’t released details yet on what the prize will be for completing the scavenger hunt this year, but in the past, guests have walked away with themed tumblers, bowls, or character figurines. Some fans see it as worth the price for the souvenir alone—others, especially those visiting with multiple children, might start doing the math.Credit: DisneyWhile $11.99 might not seem like a huge amount, it’s another example of small costs at Disney World that can pile up over the course of a trip. Parking, snacks, Lightning Lanes, character meals, special event tickets—none of them are required, but together they can shape the experience and the final cost of a vacation. So if EPCOT is on your itinerary this fall, and your kids love a good scavenger hunt, just be aware: the game’s still on… but now it’s gonna cost you a little more to play. The post NEW: Walt Disney World Imposes Price Hike on EPCOT Visitors appeared first on Inside the Magic.
