According to an eyewitness, a man in a black shirt approached the woman and began stabbing her.An 18-year-old woman was killed inside the Narsinghpur District Hospital on Friday afternoon after an unidentified man stabbed her multiple times, police said.The incident occurred around 3 pm, when the woman, reportedly a nursing student, was at the hospital for her training.According to an eyewitness, a man in a black shirt approached the woman and began stabbing her.The witness said, “The assailant threatened me, and when I turned away momentarily, he stabbed her multiple times with a knife before fleeing the scene.”Authorities, including senior police officials and the Sub-Divisional Magistrate, rushed to the hospital upon receiving news of the attack. “A search operation has been launched to apprehend the suspect, who remains at large. The identity of the assailant and the motive behind the attack are still under investigation,” said a senior police officer.The victim’s family arrived at the hospital and staged a protest, blocking the road outside. They demanded that the accused be arrested before ending their blockade.
