This isn't close to a choosing begger story. I volunteer with a thrift shop and there are horror stories of boxes of garbage dropped off, bags with undetermined stuff on the clothes...stained underwear and swimsuits. It's gotten a LOT better since cameras went up outside but honestly, some people wanted to use the shop as a garbage bin. Just because someone is buying second hand doesn't mean we assume they are poor and doesn't mean they deserve to wear trash if they are. the PSA is spot on - garbage goes in garbage. Used things that are just not being used at our own house but isn't damaged, dirty or stained goes to thrift shops.
