I brought vegan chili to my department's chili cook-off, and people couldn't wait to try it. Everyone was nice. And, y'all, I'm in small-town Texas! But I didn't win. I think I placed 3rd or 4th out of 9 or 10. The trophy was super cool, too. The welding teacher had made a steel chili pepper on a stand.
