Videos posted on social media show flames and smoke coming from the engine of the American Airlines flight while it was in air.However, American Airlines said that despite witnesses and videos suggesting there was smoke and flames coming from the engine, airline mechanics found no evidence of fire during an inspection of the flight after it returned to Las Vegas.American Airlines, in a statement said, “The aircraft taxied to the gate under its own power and customers deplaned normally.
