The Vidhana Soudha police on Monday booked over 14 members of Karnataka Rakshana Vedike for protesting in front of the Karnataka Public Service Commission office over the alleged corruption which caused injustice to the Kannada medium candidates who appeared for the exam.The protestors raised slogans, tried to lay siege to the premises, and disrupted the traffic, violating the High Court order. The Vidhana Soudha police detained the protestors.Kumaraswamy S.P., Inspector, Vidhana Soudha, complainant in the case, said that the protestors have violated the HC order despite reminders to the organisers and personally informing them on phone denying permission.The police charged the protestors under Sections 126, 189, and 190.Published - February 27, 2025 01:24 am IST
