Police have made elaborate security arrangements for the Budget Sessions in the Assembly, scheduled to begin on Monday (February 24).Vigil has been stepped up on Prakasam barrage and the route to the Assembly along the Krishna river bank. “Police will check the vehicles proceeding towards Guntur from Vijayawada on the barrage,” said NTR Commissioner of Police S.V. Rajashekar Babu on Sunday (February 23).Mr. Rajashekar told The Hindu that instructions had been issued to search hotels and lodges and arrange for checkpoints as a precautionary measure.The dog squad and bomb-disposal squads inspected the bridges, culverts and bushes along the river bund.
