Over 15,000 tablets of chlorine have been distributed in the area, said officials. Most of the 91 affected persons belong to the age group of five to 30 years.The authorities have also identified 26 leakage points in the water supply network and initiated repairs along with chlorination of water. The district administration has been “requesting” residents to visit the health centres “immediately if any symptom” is visibleAnand District Collector Praveen Chaudhary and District Development Officer (DDO) Devahuti visited the village to oversee the health team surveillance on Monday.Chaudhary said, “People should consume only chlorinated water and freshly-cooked food. Personal hygiene should be maintained and the guidelines being put out by the local gram panchayat should be followed…”Talking about the repairs, Chaudhary said: “Out of the 26 leakages, 25 have been repaired.
