(File Photo)A 20-year-old woman from Noida was arrested at Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport fon Monday or allegedly smuggling drugs worth over Rs 11 crore.According to officials, the woman arrived from Bangkok on February 21 and was intercepted by officers of the Customs Department during routine checks. Upon examination of her luggage, authorities discovered eight packets of cookies and rice containing a green-coloured narcotic substance. The material, suspected to be ganja or marijuana, had a net weight of 11.28 kg.“A diagnostic test conducted on the seized material prima facie confirmed it to be ganja or marijuana. Further investigation into the case is underway to determine the source and intended destination of the smuggled drugs, said officials.
