I don’t know what Price did wrong. We don’t know what was said.“All we know is that, at the end, Gurney was the aggressor. Price had his back to Gurney.”Sky SportsGurney and Price were involved in a heated exchange in Sheffield[/caption]Sky SportsPrice had taunted the crowd after being subject to boos before Gurney targeted him[/caption]Price had previously been fined £21,500 following the 2018 Grand Slam of Darts just six months earlier. He was also handed a three-month ban suspended for six months for ‘bringing the sport into disrepute and gamesmanship’.It came as a result of his behaviour in his final victory over Gary Anderson and quarter-final clash with Simon Whitlock.Price’s fine was later reduced to £11,500 on appeal, whilst neither he or Gurney were punished for their antics in Sheffield.Instead, Superchin went on to pip his opponent to the final play-off spot in the Premier League standings by a single point. However, he was ultimately beaten by eventual winner Michael van Gerwen in the semi-finals on finals night. Price is once again part of the line-up for this year’s Premier League, his fourth consecutive appearance and seventh overall. The Welshman sits second in the standings after three nights, having won in Dublin last week.He will face Luke Humphries in the quarter-finals in Exeter this Thursday.Meanwhile, Gurney has not been involved since his third and final appearance in 2020.
