Joe Rogan’s Terrifying Concerns Get Debunked by Fans After AI Robot Controversy in China

Humans will have to get used to sharing their living space with robots. Like it or not. China is undoubtedly one of the countries making the most progress in robotics. Humanoid robots are being mass-produced there, which is helping to improve robotics in ways we never anticipated. However, now, according to an X user, a robot has attacked a person in China, or so it seems. And that is a warning call for all of us, according to Joe Rogan.Recently, an X user (previously Twitter) named @BenGeskin shared a video in which a robot appeared to attack a person. “An AI robot attacked a human at a mass event in China; is this the beginning?” he said in his profile. Well, it surely caught the attention of Joe Rogan, who shared it on his Instagram profile with a warning that humanity might be on its path to getting doomed pretty soon. He wrote in the caption, “An AI robot got aggressive with spectators in China. The way it did it was eerily human. I don’t like this at all.”It is worth noting that there is much discussion regarding the advancement of Artificial General Intelligence (AGI), a phenomenon that will allow humans to cohabit with intelligence considerably superior to their own. However, the terminologies used to describe this type of development are highly unclear, and it is unknown what effects people will have. But for now, the UFC commentator believes that there is a less likely chance that humans would coexist with robots, but it will be the machines who might start a revolution instead. View this post on Instagram A post shared by Joe Rogan (@joerogan)However, we can certainly state that this is not the beginning of anything. Why? Well, that’s because what has transpired contradicts what the author appears to be claiming. So, how do we know that? Well, that’s because many on the internet were quick to burst the myth around the whole video. In fact, it seems like the reality of the video is much different than what Joe Rogan presumed it to be. So, let’s find out!Fans burst the truth around the viral video and Joe Rogan’s claimsAs soon as Joe Rogan shared the video, many fans leaped at the chance to play detective and prove the UFC commentator wrong. But did they uncover the mystery behind the robot attack? Well, they certainly did. The footage clearly shows how a robot approaches a fence, looks to trip, and then brutally pounces on the audience. Although it may appear to be intentional violence, it is evident that the robot has stumbled and is attempting to regain stability in an ineffective way. Pointing it out in the comments, some fans wrote, “It clearly tripped and fell against the barricade, but yeah, go ahead and cook.” “It’s clear as day that it tripped FFS,” and “It does kinda look like it may have tripped.”However, the video clearly highlights one of the primary issues that robots face today: how they respond to problems.  Normally, robots are extremely stable machines that almost never fall, but when they do, it is a major issue. In an attempt to find stability or the correct path forward, they begin to move frantically and may appear aggressive or violent or even damage someone with these motions. In the end, they are massive hulks. But that did not stop many fans from speculating that the robots may soon start taking over us like they show in the movies. Movies such as The Terminator are prime examples that come to mind when we think of evil tech taking over the world and wiping us out. So, when Joe Rogan shared the clip, many other fans believed that scientists should consider the warning signs made by Hollywood. Taking to the comments, they shared, “So we learned absolutely nothing from the Terminator movies. K cool,” “I think there were some movies warning us about this actually,” and “Def the Age of Ultron.”But what would lead the robots to lead the rebellion? Well, according to some fans, it would be some juvenile insults that would hype up the tech to go against us. But what kind of insults are we talking about? Well, some fans did share some examples by taking the case in China as an example, where maybe a fan said some unkind words to the robot who retaliated with some fists and words such as, “What chu say about my mother…board,” “Who are you calling iOS?” and “Call me Microsoft again!” Well, it surely looks like fans love imagining the AI revolution. But what do you think? Did the robot actually trip, or was it a reaction by the tech? Let us know in the comments. The post Joe Rogan’s Terrifying Concerns Get Debunked by Fans After AI Robot Controversy in China appeared first on EssentiallySports.
