Quantic Dream, the developer behind the upcoming Star Wars Eclipse, has apparently been unaffected by the recent shakeup over at NetEase."We want to reassure everyone that our studios in Paris and Montreal remain unaffected," explained Quantic Dream CEO Guillaume de Fondaumière on LinkedIn. "We are continuing to develop our projects at full pace, with several open positions available in both locations."Earlier this month, NetEase laid off the US-based employees working on Marvel Rivals. NetEase is reportedly shopping its non-China studios around, even though NetEase publicly reaffirmed its commitment to its overseas developers. The studio behind Blood of Dawnwalker, Rebel Wolves, said that it is also safe despite NetEase's layoffs.Quantic Dream is known for its narrative games such as Beyond: Two Souls and Detroit: Become Human. In 2022, Quantic Dream became a subsidiary of NetEase. Fondaumière said that Quantic Dream achieved its highest revenue so far in 2024 due to the performance of its back catalog. In particular, Detroit: Become Human reached 11 million units in global sales last year."The developments of our current projects are progressing as planned, and we are fully committed to delivering and launching these innovative, high-quality titles in the future," he said.Star Wars Eclipse was first revealed in 2021 and is reportedly set for release in 2026. The game takes place during the High Republic era, with the reveal trailer showcasing Yoda peeking out at Coruscant from the Jedi Council room.
