Two Bangladeshis, Indian human trafficker and drug peddlers arrested in Agartala

A case has been registered with the GRP and police under sections of the Passports Act, the Foreigners Act and the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.A joint operation by the Government Railway Police, the Border Security Force and the Railway Protection Force resulted in the arrests of two Bangladeshi infiltrators and an Indian human trafficker at the Agartala railway station, officials said on Tuesday.Agartala GRP in-charge Inspector Tapas Das said the arrested trio were trying to board a train to Kolkata after illegally crossing the India-Bangladesh border.They were identified as Dhaka residents Arafat Hossain, 29, and Jinat Era, 34, and Sachin Kumar, 22, from Bihar’s Samastipur district. The Bangladeshi couple’s two-year-old infant was also with them.
