/u/BoringDemand7677 on Happy Valentine’s Day! This Rude AF lady is unapologetically nasty when it comes to asking for help!

💯agree here. “Not letting them down isn’t an option” is already such a red flag, over a bag of skittles? Rude awakening when/if the kids get told no by someone else I can imagine a temper tantrum at full blast, along with their mom. I was gifted a Barbie one year during a birthday party I already owned. I said, “I already have this one.” As my mom was handing out more presents for me to open, one of my parents pulled me aside right after I said that and told me that’s not polite and even if you already own it, you don’t tell the person that, you say thank you. I was fairly young (wanna say 7-9ish?). I apologized right after and said thank you for the Barbie! (I couldn’t undue what was already said, but at least acknowledging how rude it would have been had I not at least thanked the person for the gift). I never again said anything of the sort, whether I owned it, didn’t like it, etc, I just thanked the person and expressed gratitude. Also, skittles are the least valentines candy I can think of? That sounds like such a specific taste, I’d reckon a bag of Hershey kisses would be more bang for the buck but I’m sure this woman will be back come Easter
