Six persons were booked for allegedly gangraping a 22-year-old woman in Thane, police said Saturday adding that two of them have been arrested. According to police officials, the incident took place early Thursday when the woman, who was sleeping at her aunt’s place, got a call from her younger brother who asked her to come to their house as he was unwell.However, police said, it was a trap laid by the accused who had confined the woman’s brother and asked him to call her.Following this, the woman called her friend, an auto-rickshaw driver and reached the location.“It was only after she reached the location that she realised it was a trap,” said a police officer, adding, “The six accused had confined her brother and forced him to call her to the spot.”Later, the six accused assaulted the woman, her 19-year-old brother and her friend, and took them to an isolated location, police said.According to police, four of the six accused took turns to sexually assault the woman inside the bushes. Subsequently, they took her in a Bolero pickup truck and forcibly raped her again.Story continues below this ad“The woman, her brother, and their auto-rickshaw driver friend were allowed to leave, after which they went home.
