This after a stalker was evicted during last week’s Dubai Tennis Championships.Raducanu has been offered five extra security guards in Indian Wells, the telegraph.co.uk reported. Raducanu has not yet returned to training but is on the entry list for Indian Wells. The person in-charge of security at Indian Wells is Bob Campbell, a former secret service agent, who has been on the tour since 2013.The stalker had first approached Raducanu at a cafe before being seen in the spectator stands.During the unscheduled break in the match, opponent Karolina Muchova walked over to offer Raducanu support. Raducanu, who was still a teenager in 2022 when a man in Britain was convicted of stalking her, returned to play and eventually lost 7-6 (6), 6-4 to Muchova.Roman Kelecic, Raducanu’s stand-in coach, told Net, “That (the cafe approach) was the only moment in a month where I, the fitness coach, the security guard who was with us, was not with her at that moment.”The man who confronted Raducanu during the Dubai Tennis Championships signed “a formal undertaking” to stay away from her, Dubai authorities had said. He has also been banned from being at tennis tournaments in Dubai.“Dubai authorities have taken swift action to address an incident involving British tennis star Emma Raducanu, in accordance with local legal protocols,” a Dubai government statement said. “Following Raducanu’s complaint, Dubai police detained a tourist who approached her, left her a note, took her photograph, and engaged in behaviour that caused her distress during the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships.”© IE Online Media Services Pvt LtdTags:Emma Raducanu
