She also recalled how Priyanka was denied customary Miss World welcome in her hometown Bareilly after winning the title.She shared, “The reception that happened in Bareilly wasn’t kind at all. The state machinery said that yeh naari shoshan hai and we will not accept this (The state machinery said that the pageant was explotation of women). Otherwise, Miss World had a thing that wherever the girl belongs to, that town has to welcome her. They said that we can’t have her here, there’s a law and order issue. We were very upset,” Madhu added. However, Priyanka didn’t let her confidence dip. “Priyanka had a toy called hit-me. It was a plastic toy and whenever you hit it, it comes back. Priyanka is like that! So, everytime she faces an adversity, she will come back with a vengeance,” she said.She also revealed how actor Lara Dutta, who won Miss Universe in 2000, taught PeeCee a lot of things. “Lara taught her how to drape, walk, and how to do makeup. Because, they had to do it all my themselves,” she shared.For the uninformed, Priyanka faced several career setbacks after a botched nose surgery in the initial days of her career. It resulted in her being dropped from many films. “She was a Miss World at that time. Her dad was a big support during that time, she leaned on him and he said, ‘Beta, we will fix it. There is nothing that is not fixable on a human body’. Towards the end of the teaser, the host mentioned that Parineeti and Priyanka should be working together.
