Two motorcyclists die in Corriverton Accident

Tragedy struck early Monday morning when two young men lost their lives in an accident on the Number 79 Public Road, Corentyne, Berbice.Dead are 18-year-old Keishan Ramnauth, a labourer from the Number 60 Village, and 21-year-old Ameer Subhan, a supervisor at Queensway Security Service, formerly of ‘B’ Line Path.Ramnauth was reportedly riding a motorcycle (#CN 6641) just after midnight; 22-year-old Adrian Inshan was the pillion rider.They were traveling south in the eastern lane of the road, allegedly at a high speed. It is alleged that Ramnauth lost control of the motorcycle and collided with another motorcycle (#CP 3158). Subhan was on that motorcycle, heading north in the western lane.The collision resulted in the riders of both motorcycles and the pillion rider being thrown onto the road, sustaining various injuries.According to reports, a citizen who witnessed the incident came to their aid and transported them to the Skeldon Public Hospital while they were unconscious. Upon examination by the on-duty doctor, both Subhan and Ramnauth were pronounced dead.Inshan was also examined while unconscious and was subsequently transferred to New Amsterdam Hospital for further medical care.The police are continuing their investigation into the incident.The post Two motorcyclists die in Corriverton Accident appeared first on News Room Guyana.
