Ugandan Afropop and AfroBeat artist Joanita Zachariassen says she has relocated back home to Uganda permanently to pursue her music career.After living in Denmark where she made a name for herself as a proven vocal talent, Joanita Zachariassen is now back in the +256 for good.The “Party After Party” singer, together with her son and husband, spoke to the press at Papaz Spot in Makindye on Thursday afternoon.In the presser, Joanita Zachariassen revealed that she believes she had achieved enough in the Scandinavia and she now wants to do the same in Uganda.She said that her music has a unique blend, something she believes will be welcomed by Ugandan music enthusiasts back home.This is a big moment for me in my music career to have all of you out here to support me. I have moved back home from Denmark to pursue my career on ground because I have a fanbase that supports my music.I have made it on the big stages in the diaspora but I want to prosper back home as well. You always have to bring something new to the table when you return home and I believe I have that.Joanita Zachariassen applauded her husband for fully supporting her decision to return to Uganda to pursue her passion further.I spoke to my husband and told him I missed home. He was very willing saying he is ready to support me. He took a big step for us to move.It’s not easy but he really believes in me so I am here to inspire the young people and everyone that sees me as an inspiration many ways.My music has a unique twist to it and it has worked well in Scandinavia.
