Diablo 4's Next Event Will See Players Hunting Ultra-Rare Goblins For Mythic Uniques

Diablo 4's next event is a revamped version of March of the Goblins, and it's upping the rewards by permanently adding six rare goblin variants for players to hunt down, including one ultra-rare goblin that will reward a Mythic Unique item and a Resplendent Spark that can be used to make another. From March 4-11, the goblin invasion of Sanctuary will begin once more, with an increased chance of finding treasure goblins and greed shrines throughout the game's world. Unlike last year's March of the Goblins, this year's event will sport its own reward track with additional rewards that players will progress as they cut down the loot-nabbing tricksters. The higher a player's event reputation, the higher chance for goblins to drop more loot when slain, and maxing out the reward track will grant a highly-sought after Resplendent Spark. The big change this year, however, is the introduction of six gilded treasure goblin variants that each grant different rewards when killed, including a goblin "so incredibly rare its very existence is even called into question." They are:Odious Ector (green) - drops various crafting materials and, when killed in Torment difficulty, Obducite for Masterwork upgrades.Gilded Baron (gold) - drops "tantalizing" amounts of gold.Glittering Prym (diamond) - drops Gem fragments, Runes, and when killed in Torment difficulty, Undercity Tributes and Scattered Prisms.Curious Murl (purple) - drops Murl's Bag of Obols, which grants a large amount of Murmuring Obols when used and can be picked up event if at max Obol capacity.Gelatinous Syrus (blue) - splits into two goblins when killed and then splits into three. Killing them all grants one Legendary item (with a higher chance of more Legendaries at higher Torment difficulties) as well as gold, boss materials, and a chance for an elixir.Fancy Old Fedric (Mythic purple) - the rarest of all the goblins, killing Fedric (something described as a one in a million chance by Blizzard) will grant a Mythic Unique item and a Resplendent Spark. As mentioned earlier, these goblin variants will actually stick around past the length of the event and are permanent additions to the game--it's just that the chance of finding them will be greatly increased from March 4-11.Diablo 4 is currently in the middle of its Witchcraft-themed Season 7, one that introduces a number of new powers (some of them Diablo 3 Witch Doctor-themed) for players to experiment with. Though it was originally announced that Diablo 4 would receive yearly expansions, Diablo franchise general manager Rod Fergusson recently revealed that the next Diablo 4 expansion won't release until 2026.
