Police question former MLA Vallabhaneni Vamsi Mohan on day one

The Patamata police questioned former MLA Vallabhaneni Vamsi Mohan in the case of alleged kidnap and threatening of computer operator M. Satyavardhan, who was working in Gannavaram TDP office.Mr. Satyavardhan lodged a complaint with the NTR Police alleging that Mr. Vamsi kidnapped and coerced him to withdraw the SC and ST (Prevention of Atrocities) case filed against him.The Patamata police who registered a case against the former MLA, arrested him a few days ago and produced him in the court. They filed a petition in the SC and ST Court seeking his custody, which granted permission for the police to question Mr. Vamsi for three days.Police took Mr. Vamsi from Vijayawada district jail and questioned him in the case on the first day on Tuesday (February 25). Investigation officers grilled the former MLA on the kidnap of the computer operator.The NTR Commissionerate police took statement from Mr. Satyavardhan on the incident, and under which circumstances he withdrew the case in the court.The Patamata police questioned on why Mr. Satyavardhan was kidnapped, who others were involved in the offence, reason for committing the crime, where Mr. Satyavardhan was taken, for how many days he was detained and why the victim was threatened and other details.
