She debuted on WWE RAW alongside Cameron as valets for Brodus Clay, forming the duo known as The Funkadactyls in 2012.Since her WWE debut, Naomi has consistently played the role of a babyface. However, in 2015, she turned heel for about a year, joining forces with Sasha Banks (now known as Mercedes Moné) and Tamina Snuka to form Team B.A.D.In 2016, WWE drafted Naomi to SmackDown, where she introduced a gimmick featuring a vibrant look and an electrifying entrance. Dubbed “The Glow,” her new persona quickly won over fans. Her rising popularity led to a WWE SmackDown Women’s Championship victory at Elimination Chamber 2017, where she defeated Alexa Bliss. However, her title reign was short-lived due to an injury.She later reclaimed the championship at WWE WrestleMania 33 in Orlando. Despite the huge success of The Glow, Naomi has never explored a darker side. However, the former WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion recently revealed what fans can expect if she ever embraces a heel turn.Naomi says she wouldn’t hold back if she turns heel in WWESpeaking on HUGE Pop!, Naomi discussed the possibility of a heel turn in WWE. She mentioned that while she appreciates the success of The Glow, she doesn’t want to become stagnant and remains open to change if the timing feels right.Naomi made it clear that if she turns heel, she would fully commit to the transformation. She stated:“I do feel like there is a time for The Glow or the character of Naomi to change or evolve. I’m always up for that challenge, and I’m always thinking and pushing myself. Also, I don’t want to force anything, and I feel like the timing has to be right and thought out.” [H/T: Fightful]She continued:“For me to change after being so connected and established, and with something that still works, I would want it to be worth it, and I would want to go all in with it. If that does mean me going to the darker side, I don’t want to throw that away because it would be a big deal—not just for me, but for fans. I still think I’m a very safe woman on the roster, where you can have a place everywhere. I’m an established and strong babyface. If I was to get away from that, we have to go all the way. I gotta be nasty. I gotta be dirty. I have to be something y’all haven’t seen before. Everything has to change. I’m up for it.
