AT&T has issued a press release announcing that AT&T and AST SpaceMobile have completed testing the second video call between two smartphones using the cellular connectivity offered by low-earth orbit (LEO) satellites that the two companies have been working on, and it brings some good news for Samsung users.The press release has an image showing a moment from the video call. If you look closely, you will notice that the phone AT&T and AST SpaceMobile have used for testing is Samsung’s Galaxy S22 Ultra. It shows that Samsung’s smartphones work flawlessly with cellular network via satellite offered by the two companies.Verizon also issued a press release announcing that Verizon and AST SpaceMobile have completed testing a video call between two phones using the cellular network via satellite. However, unlike AT&T, the video call Verizon made was its first such video call. While the brand didn’t reveal which phone it used for testing, we are hopeful that Samsung phones support its network.T-Mobile and Starlink also offer a similar service. Among a handful of phones that support it, many are from Samsung.
