The movie added an estimated Rs 12 crore to its domestic tally, which has already passed the Rs 400 crore mark. According to the industry tracker Sacnilk, Chhaava registered impressive occupancy even after two weeks of release. Globally, the film has passed the Rs 500 crore mark, establishing itself as Vicky’s biggest hit. The film is now entering its third weekend of release, poised to top the charts once again. It will compete with Craxzy and Superboys of Malegaon, both much smaller films.Chhaava’s domestic total stands at around Rs 410 crore. This means that the movie is less than Rs 100 crore shy of overtaking the lifetime Hindi earnings of Ranbir Kapoor’s landmark hit, Animal. Vicky and Ranbir are currently working together on Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Love & War, which also features Alia Bhatt. Animal ended its global run with over Rs 900 crore, emerging as Ranbir’s biggest hit. Vicky previously worked with Alia on the acclaimed hit Raazi, but it was only after that that he delivered Uri: The Surgical Strike, which was previously his biggest-ever solo hit. Chhaava is also around Rs 25 crore shy of passing the lifetime global haul of fellow historical blockbuster Padmaavat. Also read – Vicky Kaushal’s Chhaava is weighed down by its own fundamental cluelessnessChhaava will ultimately double that film’s earnings.
