The ceasefire in Gaza saw Hamas handing over the remains of four more hostages, bringing the total hostages freed to 33, including eight who were killed. Five Thai hostages were also released separately. Israel, in return, released nearly 2,000 Palestinian prisoners. With the ceasefire’s first phase ending soon, 59 hostages remain in captivity, 32 of whom Israel has declared dead. The war could resume if further negotiations fail.
