PicturesSAG Award-winning actor Delroy Lindo (The Good Fight, Da 5 Bloods) has been tapped to join the Godzilla x Kong 2 cast for the upcoming next installment to Legendary’s MonsterVerse franchise. The film is currently scheduled to arrive in theaters on March 26, 2027.Lindo is set to portray the lead character’s boss at Monarch. Prior to starring in the Godzilla x Kong sequel, he will first appear in the highly-anticipated vampire movie Sinners, with Michael B. Jordan and Hailee Steinfeld. He is also currently attached to star in Prime Video’s upcoming Anansi Boys miniseries.Who else is in the Godzilla x Kong 2 cast?The Godzilla x Kong sequel cast will also include Golden Globe nominee Kaitlyn Dever (Booksmart), Dan Stevens (Downton Abbey, Legion), and Jack O’Connell (SAS: Rogue Heroes), with Stevens reprising his role as Trapper from 2024’s Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire. The sequel will be directed by Grant Sputore (I Am Mother) from a screenplay written by Dave Callaham. The film will reportedly feature “several new human characters alongside the beloved and iconic Titans Godzilla and Kong as they face off against a cataclysmic world-ending threat.” Legendary’s MonsterVerse franchise began in 2014 with Gareth Edwards’ Godzilla, which starred Elizabeth Olsen and Aaron Taylor-Johnson. Following its success, it was followed by several sequels, including 2017’s Kong: Skull Island, 2019’s Godzilla: King of the Monsters, and Godzilla vs. Kong. In addition, the studio has also partnered up with Netflix for an animated Skull Island show that premiered on Netflix in 2023. Besides continuing to expand its film franchise, Legendary is also currently working on its Apple TV+ spin-off series Monarch: Legacy of Monsters, which is slated to return for a second season.
