Oleksandr Usyk is one of the greatest boxers we’ve ever seen, but despite winning it all, he isn’t done. The Ukrainian legend has revealed he wants two more fights in his career before retiring, and he knows his next opponent.Dubois and Parker are going to throw it all on the line this weekendAfter beating Tyson Fury for the first time to become the undisputed king of the heavyweight division, the IBF belt was immediately stripped because he refused to fight the mandatory challenger.Instead, he took on Fury again and won, while Daniel Dubois claimed the IBF belt and then beat Anthony Joshua to defend it.Dubois was meant to face Joseph Parker but had to pull out due to illness, meaning the chance of another undisputed fight had looked off the table. But all is not lost.Oleksandr Usyk: Next fightUsyk identified in an exclusive interview with talkSPORT’s George Glinski that he would fight the winner of Dubois versus Parker. This is because it would have given him a chance to unify the division for the second time, as he holds the WBO, WBA and WBC belts. He said: “We wait for a fight on February 22 between Daniel and Joseph.“Whoever wins this fight between Daniel and Joseph, I have already made the fight.”However, with Parker now facing Martin Bakole, the IBF belt is off the table, with Parker’s WBO interim title the only thing on the line. But Usyk has since made it clear, he wants to face Dubois.Speaking to DAZN, he said: “I want to fight next with Dubois.”Dubois was ready to take on Parker until he had to withdraw through illnessGettyBut as a result of Dubois’ withdrawal, the WBO could order Usyk to fight the mandatory challenger, which would be the winner of Bakole and Parker. However, the WBO’s new president Gustavo Olivieri has told talkSPORT.com that he would consider letting Usyk fight Dubois for all four belts. He said: “The winner of Bakole-Parker will be mandatory for Usyk.“The question is when will the mandatory be enforced.“It remains to be seen because of the existence of a rotation agreement (order of mandatories) between the sanction bodies.“Most likely, the WBO is next in line, however, if a unification request (Usyk vs Dubois) is submitted to the Championship Committee, it would certainly be considered as unifications take precedence over mandatories and serve the best interests of boxing.”The last time Usyk and Dubois met, it ended badly for DDDDubois has fought Usyk before, and in his view, was robbed of a win after a shot to the Ukrainian was deemed a low blow.Usyk was allowed time to recover before getting up and knocking the Londoner out in round nine.Of course, Dubois wants to fight the modern-day boxing legend again and jumped in the ring immediately after Usyk beat Fury to challenge the Ukrainian.Usyk wants to unify the heavyweight division againMikey Williams/Top RankAfter the incident, Dubois was criticised for his actions by some for stealing Usyk’s moment, but in an interview earlier this year, he defended it.He said: “This is boxing at the end of the day, any publicity is good publicity.“If they hate it or they like it then yeah. I’ve been boxing long enough to understand that now.“It’s not all about having everything your way and everyone love you, but as long as they want to see you that is all that matters.“But at the end of the day, I want to get through Parker and then that fight [with Usyk] is done.“It’s all about making noise, and as a world champion you can choose your destiny and path.“I’m just challenging in my eyes and I want to become undisputed champion and that’s my intentions.”Meanwhile, Parker was very open that he was targeting the winner of Usyk vs Fury 2, so if he wins, he’ll be more than up for facing Usyk. His promoter David Higgins said: “Joseph wants to become undisputed heavyweight world champion. He’s going to give it everything until the day he retires so I’d be lying if I didn’t say that was the goal.“He wants to beat Dubois and then he wants to fight whoever has the other belts and try and unify.”But now that Parker can’t win the IBF belt, it looks like the dream of facing Usyk is over.
