(Express)A man was killed and another was critically injured after two unidentified assailants opened indiscriminate firing outside the Amaravati Mall in Pinjore town in Haryana’s Panchkula district late Thursday.According to the Pinjore police, Sonu was killed and Prince was injured in the firing, which took place at around 10.30 pm.As per police sources, Sonu and Prince, both residents of Pinjore, had just exited the Amaravati mall with their friends after watching a movie. As they approached their vehicle, the attackers who were in wait, launched a sudden firing, as one bullet hit the car’s window.As Sonu stepped out of the vehicle, the assailants fired multiple rounds directly at him. He was struck by 6 to 7 bullets, and died on the spot. Prince sustained a bullet injury on his leg and was rushed to the Civil Hospital in Sector 6 for initial treatment. He was later referred to PGIMER, Chandigarh, due to the severity of his condition.Immediately after the incident, the police and a forensic team arrived at the scene.Srishti Gupta, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Panchkula, first visited the hospital to inquire about the injured man’s condition, and then went to the crime scene to lead the investigation.The police said they have recovered live cartridges and bullet casings from the spot. They have also seized the SUV used by the victims for forensic examination.Video claiming responsibility surfacesStory continues below this adFollowing the brutal murder, a video surfaced on social media in which a group of men is seen claiming responsibility for the killing.In the clip, one of the men admits to having murdered Sonu due to “personal enmity”, and mentions the name of gangster Anmol Bishnoi. The video also shows the men brandishing two pistols.The police said they have taken note of the video, and are verifying its authenticity.
