You'll be walked through these instructions during the initial setup of your console with a step-by-step explanation. However, don't worry if you bypassed the internet portion of the setup process--you can easily hop back in and get connected.Wireless (Wi-Fi)The first way to connect to the internet with a Switch 2 is via a wireless connection. To begin, navigate to the Settings icon on your Switch 2 home screen, then scroll down and select Internet. Afterward, select Internet Settings.At this point, your Switch 2 will automatically scan for nearby Wi-Fi networks. If you see your network in the list, scroll down and select it. You'll be prompted to enter your password. Once you do so, your Switch 2 will connect to the Wi-Fi network, meaning you're good to start downloading and playing games online.Wired (LAN)The second way to connect to the internet with a Switch 2 is by connecting it directly to your router using an Ethernet cable. Luckily, all you need to do is connect the cable to both devices to get things up and running. Your Switch 2 will automatically register the wired connection and let you get going right away. In addition to the aforementioned GameChat functionality, connecting to the internet will let you play supported games online and sign up for Switch Online.
