He said while the company did cut down the battery capacity to make the phone thinner, it designed it in a way that it still lasts all day for most users. Gaiser said that the company's internal testing shows that the Galaxy S25 Edge lasts from “sun up to sun down” without needing a recharge. The phone lasts longer than the base Galaxy S24. In the company's books, that is a good enough experience in terms of battery life for most users. He said he personally didn't have any major issue with the phone's battery life. Enthusiasts are miffed that Samsung lost the perfect opportunity to bring Silicon Carbon batteries with the Galaxy S25 Edge. Such batteries generally offer at least 15% higher capacity in the same volume as traditional lithium-ion batteries. So, the Galaxy S25 Edge could have had a 4,500mAh battery with the Silicon Carbon technology.
