NTPC Kayamkulam celebrated World Environment Day with initiatives aimed at promoting sustainability and environmental awareness on Thursday. A plantation drive was organised to mark the occasion.Debdutta Sinha, head of project, NTPC Kayamkulam, and Mangala Hareendran, head of human resources, administered the environment day pledge to participants.Keeping in line with this year’s theme #BeatPlasticPollution, Anand Malak, assistant general manager (O and M/Solar), called for reduced plastic usage and encouraged employees to adopt eco-friendly practices.As part of the green initiative, coconut saplings were planted on the NTPC campus by employees, family members, children and Central Industrial Security Force personnel.Published - June 05, 2025 06:59 pm IST
